About the client:

Our client is a leading manufacturer of custom floor logo mats. They design both – custom indoor and outdoor logo mats for several industries across the United States and Canada.

The Challenged faced by our customer:

Owing the global situation with the Covid-19 pandemic, our client had to downsize his team and work in a reduced capacity. The company had to let go off majority of their staff, including some of their most endured staff from the decoration/graphics department, very crucial to the company. Plying orders from customers and lack of graphics support to finish their design projects, caused them to lose many customers. Owing his helplessness, he was referred to us by one of our existing customers to talk to us about his custom design needs for his mats.

The Solution

We endured our clients process, and within no time were able to fill in for the lack of in-house graphic support. Most of the custom orders we processed included the following information

• Mat size
• Mat type
• Mat color
• Logo to be used
• Mat style – landscape or portrait
• Imprint color
• Imprint location

Our work on this project involved following a variety of tasks including

• Converting the artwork to vector format
• Prep the Mat size and use photo editing tools as necessary to enhance/size
• Matching the color of the mat to the color palette provided by the customer
• Engage the vector logo on the mat
• Size the logo to fit to scale or as necessary

The challenge with this project mainly involved

• Bringing the exact the texture effect on the Logo provided so it all looks like a family and not just a logo patch on the mat

The output format involved

• First saving as a TIFF file
• Then importing it into illustrator on the template already created
• Provide a PDF proof to the customer for review
